Custom templates let you pre-populate forms for similar deals, streamlining your workflow.

Creating a Custom Template

  1. Log in to your account and go to the Templates page via the left-hand menu under Forms.

  2. Click Add New Template.

  3. Select the base form you want to customize.

  4. Edit fields like the form name, summary, description, and any other details.

  5. Choose a category for easy organization.

  6. Click Review, then Edit Form to fill in the template using Smart Edit.

  7. Click Save to store the template.

Using a Custom Template in a Deal

  1. Open the relevant deal.

  2. Click Add a Form.

  3. In the form template list, select Custom Templates in the top-right corner.

  4. Choose your template—it will auto-populate the form.

  5. Make any deal-specific edits if needed.

  6. Click Save.

Custom clauses provide reusable language for contract provisions, ensuring consistency.

  1. Navigate to the Clauses page via the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Add New Clause in the top-right corner.

  3. Select a category, enter a name (e.g., "Sold As-Is Clause"), and add the clause content.

  4. Click Save.

Using a Custom Clause in a Form

  1. Open a form in a deal (e.g., the Additional Provisions section of the Contract to Buy and Sell).

  2. Locate a field with the 3-dot Action Menu.

  3. Select your custom clause from the list to insert it.

Tips

  • Organize templates and clauses into categories for quick access.

  • Review custom content for accuracy before saving to avoid errors in deals.

  • Use Smart Edit in templates to handle dynamic fields efficiently.

Troubleshooting

  • Template not appearing? Ensure it's saved in the correct category and refresh the page.

  • Clause not inserting? Confirm the field supports clauses via the 3-dot Action Menu.

  • Edits not saving? Check your internet connection and try again.
